Biblical Counseling

Open Door's Counseling Ministry provides free Biblical counseling to those seeking God's answers to questions about problems in their lives.
Who can come for counseling?
A person does not need to be a member of Open Door Baptist Church. However, those who seek counsel should plan to attend one regular church service per week. Counsel is offered to individuals and couples.
What kind of counsel is offered?
Counseling is available to help with any problems you may be facing - marriage, parenting, addictions, disorders, fear, anger, grief, etc. Our counseling approach is based upon the truths of the Bible. Since God has fully provided His answers to life and all of life's problems in the Bible, it is superior to any other source of counsel. It is our goal, therefore, to skillfully and practically bring God's answers to bear upon the difficulties you are facing.
Who are the counselors?
The counselors are the pastors of our church and other qualified individuals trained in Biblical counseling. Pastor Pendl is NANC certified by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors.
What does the counseling cost?
There is no fee for the counseling. Some counseling books and materials may need to be purchased.
What will the counselor expect?
Three things will be expected by the counselor:
1) a willingness to grow and change,
2) a regular commitment to the scheduled appointments, and
3) a completion of homework assignments.
