Life Application Classes (college age - adults)
Special classes are designed to meet the challenges of life. Practical and Biblical answers are provided for such areas as marriage, childrearing, finances, worry, anger management, etc.
The Situation
People are hungry for real answers to the problems of life. They desire stronger marriages, deeper friendships, and more meaningful careers. They want to impact the people they love and make a difference in the world around them. They long for lives of purpose and significance. For many, however, the desire for this type of life seems more like a distant dream than an attainable reality. The demands on their schedules and the pressures of daily living leave them wondering, "Will I ever have time for the things that really matter?" And when searching for answers, there seems to be no end to the differences of opinion among supposed experts. This situation causes many to conclude that the life they yearn for is beyond their grasp.
The Hope
For over 85 years, our church has been connecting people with real problems to real answers from the Word of God. Driven by the conviction that the Scriptures have the answers to life's problems, we seek to apply God's wisdom to people's struggles in practical ways. Over the years, we have seen lives transformed, marriages on the brink of divorce restored, families in turmoil experince peace, and those enslaved in addiction set free. There is great hope!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
The Purpose
We want people to know and experience the rich, fulfilling life that God has planned for them. For this reason, we have planned the Life Application Classes to benefit your life for God's glory. We sincerely hope that you will make plans to be involved.
Life Application Classes meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. during the Spring and Fall months. Children and teens will begin at 6:45 p.m.

Life Application Classes
- How can I enrich my marriage?
- How can I make sense out of the teaching of the Bible?

- How can I spread the gospel more effectively?
On Wednesday evenings this fall, we invite people throughout our community to get answers to these questions and more through the Life Application Classes. These classes will run for ten weeks, allowing people to receive instructional helps and materials from experienced teachers on a number of different subjects. A variety of topics are being offered to bring some practical solutions to problems we face. With five classes to choose from, there is a place for everyone! Also, there will be child care in our nursery (birth-age 2), Cubbies (ages 3 & 4), Kid's Club (K-grade 6), and a Teen Program (grades 7-12) running simultaneously to the adult classes. Bring the entire family for a profitable family night together.
Schedule
Classes begin on Wednesday, September 15, and continue through Wednesday, December 1.
Class Times
Classes will meet each Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. Children and teens will beign at 6:45 p.m.
Cost
There is no cost for any of the classes, but in one case there is a small charge for materials.
Registration
Early registration by Wednesday, September 12 is requested but is not mandatory. There are four ways to register:

Life Application Classes Offered This Fall
Living Your Christianity (Theology)
Instructor: Pastor Craig Pendl
Course Description: How well do you know the doctrines of scripture? Do you know how to make the doctrines of scripture practical to your life? Sometimes the doctrines (theology) of scripture seem abstract from daily life. In this class you will learn how to make doctrines practical to everyday life. Learn how the docrines of God (theology proper), salvation (soteriology), end times (eschatology), sin (harmatology) and others come alive and give hope about living an abundant life!
Fees: $5 per individual/couple for materials
Homework: Simple weekly assignments
Enriching Your Marriage
Instructor: Mr. Jason Vohs
This class, based on Paul Tripp's Marriage Conference DVD's, will help couples continue to enrich their marriage.
Course Description: The surrounding culture would lead us to believe that a marriage of unity, love and understanding is rooted in romance. Scripture would rather say that a good marriage is the result of worship. Does that confuse you? Learn how practical these insights are for the everyday issues and situations of a real marriage and learn the practical steps that will help couples get from where they are to where God wants them to be.

Enjoying Your Best Years
Instructor: Mr. Mitch Sasala
Course Description: This course will strengthen your thinking about the later years of life. Elderly people often think that their older years are wasted and vain. This class will give a biblical view of those precious years and how to enjoy them.

The Way Of The Master
Instructor: Mr. Don Hart
Course Description: So you want to give out the gospel but you need some equipping. This DVD series will lead you into real-life experiences where the gospel is presented. You will learn how to present the gospel in a practical and helpful way.

Life After Divorce
Course Description: Discover how to recover and rebuild after the rial of divorce. This class will be provided if there is adequate response.
